I don't know if you've noticed but when the Spring 2010 collections where showed some of the designers got a little adventurous in the hair and beauty department. I'm talking about when Giles and Proenza Schouler sent their models down the runway with grey 'tie-dye' effect hightlights in their hair.
At first I didn't really thought it was actually going to be a major fashion trend, but then Karl Lagerfeld himself picked it up for the Chanel Spring 2010 Haute Couture show just some weeks ago and now I cannot discard the potential of tie-dye hair.
And then so did Christian Dior for its Haute Couture colection,
And then I thought, well it certainly looks good on the runway but how can someone use this for their everyday life? And so it happened. All these people starting showing it all around the world, in parties, events, photoshoots, you name it! See for yourself! That was Kate Moss, Daphne Guinness, Lady Gaga and Becka Diamond and Krystal Simpson (famous bloggers). And here you can see it in Vogue Australia and the last ad campaign for Valentino:
Is this a good trend to keep? Or is it just tacky?
